Best sermon notes apps for iPhone (2026): compared
There is no single best sermon notes app; it depends on the job. For notes in two languages kept on your device, SermonNote. For a seven-day plan and notes in almost any recording language, Remain. For reminders from a time-coded transcript, SermonFlow. For live translation during the service, Glossa.
Neobile makes SermonNote: AI Sermon Notes. This comparison is ours; every fact about another app comes from its App Store page on October 11, 2026. Tell us if something is out of date: nanosoftapp@gmail.com.
Which sermon notes app fits which job?
Sermon apps changed fast in 2025 and 2026: most new ones record the message, transcribe it and let an AI write the notes. They differ in what happens next, where your recording goes, and which languages they handle. Pick by the job you need done.
Best for notes in two languages, on your device: SermonNote
You choose the sermon’s language and your own; the summary and every main point appear in both, translated on the iPhone or iPad, with Bible book names in each language. Transcription and notes run on the device, there is no account, and six public-domain Bibles are built in. It does not translate the live service, and its notes cover 15 languages.
Best for a week-long follow-up plan: Remain
Its listing describes a study guide with an outline, discussion questions and reflection prompts, plus a seven-day plan with a scripture and one small step per day. It lists notes in 99 languages, written in the language of the recording, and iCloud sync across devices.
Best for an editable, time-coded transcript and reminders: SermonFlow
The listing centers on a time-coded transcript you can tap through, edit and search, a structured summary and short recap, and practical steps you can turn into reminders for later in the week. It requires iOS 18.
Best for memorizing Scripture from sermons: Bible Note
Beyond recording and transcription, its listing describes flash cards made from your notes: Scripture memory cards, devotional insight cards and practical application cards to review over time.
Best for an all-in-one Bible study companion: Sermon Scribe
It pairs sermon recording with a Bible tab of book overviews and chapter breakdowns, daily devotionals, a journal and a Bible chat, with everything synced to the cloud, according to its listing.
Best when your church hands out sermon outlines: My Sermon Notes
No recording here: its listing describes fill-in-the-blank outlines of your pastor’s sermon, plus prayer requests, announcements, groups and event sign-ups from your church in the same app.
Best for hearing the service live in your language: Glossa
Your church streams the sermon through Glossa; you scan a QR code and follow a live translation as text or audio in over 100 languages. It is a translation service for the room rather than a notes app, and its listing says churches pay per translation hour.

What should you check before you choose?
- Where the audio goes. If your church or your own conscience prefers recordings that never leave the phone, read the listing and the privacy label before you record anything.
- The language of the notes. Some apps write notes in the sermon’s language; SermonNote can show them in a second language next to the first; a live translation service works during the service instead.
- What the free version does. Every app here is free to download, but most keep their full notes behind an in-app purchase. Try one real sermon before you pay for any of them.
- Your church’s recording policy. Every recording app depends on it. Ask if you are not sure, and keep recordings for your own study.
We make SermonNote, so read this page with that in mind; we named it only where it is the better fit. If a listing changes or we got a fact wrong, email us and we will correct it.
