Who is it for?

  • Hair stylists, nail techs, lash artists, brow artists, estheticians and barbers who set their own prices
  • Booth and suite renters who pay rent before they pay themselves
  • Commission stylists weighing whether to go independent
  • New graduates building a first service menu
  • Anyone who does more than one specialty: pick every one that applies

What does it do?

A price list ready to post

  • Your price list becomes a clean image (service, time, price) sized for Instagram and WhatsApp
  • Add your business name and choose whether to show the currency symbol
  • Share it in two taps, or export the list as a spreadsheet file

Price any service in three steps

  • Your hourly rate, the service, your price: service time plus product cost becomes what to charge
  • See the price never to go below and what each hour earns at that price, with your cost per minute
  • Every line of the math one tap away
  • Enter what you charge today: below cost, below target or on target, and what the gap adds up to per client and per month
  • Templates for hair, nails, lashes, brows, barbering and skin care: names and typical times only, the prices are always yours

Raise your prices without the guesswork

  • Pick a percentage or an amount and see every service’s old price, new price and difference
  • New prices rounded the way you round
  • Add monthly appointments to see the revenue difference
  • Copy a ready-to-send notice for your clients

Your hourly rate

  • Four questions: take-home goal, hours you can book, how full your book is, weeks you work
  • Plus rent, other costs and your own tax set-aside
  • The hourly rate and cost per minute that reach your goal, and how many clients a week that takes

Card fees, salon share and tax

  • Build the card fee, the salon’s share and sales tax into a price
  • See the price before tax and with tax
  • Any currency, with the right number of decimals

Booth rent or commission?

  • Monthly revenue, booth rent and the commission you would keep
  • Both models side by side as estimated monthly cash before tax, every cost listed
  • The breakeven revenue computed; weekly or monthly rent

What makes it different?

A true margin, not a markup

A 20% margin divides the floor price by 0.80 instead of multiplying it by 1.20. The app is built so the markup shortcut cannot slip in, and it shows the formula with your numbers.

Fees are shares of the price

Card fees, the salon’s share and sales tax join the margin in the divisor, so the price still leaves your margin after they are paid. Tax can be added on top or counted inside the price.

Your numbers, never market rates

The app only computes the consequences of what you enter. It never suggests what other salons charge, and example numbers are labelled Sample.

Offline and private

Everything stays on your device. No account, no ads and no tracking; it works without an internet connection.

What is free and what is paid?

  • The price list image and the raise-prices planner, shown on a labelled sample menu

With an in-app purchase

Salon Pricing Calculator computes the consequences of your own numbers; it is not tax, legal or accounting advice and never suggests market rates.

Questions people ask

Does Salon Pricing Calculator work offline?

Yes. Every calculation runs on your iPhone or iPad, and the app works without an internet connection. There is no account to create.

Are my prices or income uploaded anywhere?

No. Your goal, costs, menu and prices stay on your device. The app has no ads and no tracking. You choose when to share a price list image or export a spreadsheet file.

Is Salon Pricing Calculator free?

It is free to download, and you can price one service completely with your own numbers: the hourly rate, what to charge, the floor price and what each hour earns. Pricing more services, the saved menu, sharing, the raise planner and the booth-rent result need an in-app purchase.

Does it tell me what other salons charge?

No. It never suggests market rates. It shows the price your own goal, costs and booked hours require, so you can compare that with what you charge and with your market yourself.

How does it handle card fees, the salon’s share and sales tax?

They are treated as shares of the price, together with your margin, so the price still leaves your margin after they are paid. Sales tax can be added on top (VAT or US sales tax style) or counted inside the price, and you see the price before tax and with tax.

Can I compare renting a booth with staying on commission?

Yes. Enter your monthly revenue, the booth rent (weekly or monthly) and the commission you would keep. Both appear as estimated monthly cash before tax, with every cost listed and the breakeven revenue where both are equal.

Does it work on iPad and in other currencies?

Yes. It runs on iPhone and iPad with iOS 17.0 or later, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, and works in any currency with that currency’s own decimals.

Is it tax or accounting advice?

No. The app computes the consequences of your own numbers; it is not tax, legal or accounting advice. Your tax set-aside is your own estimate.
